Risen was formed in WoTLK by a small group of friends who wanted to experience challenging current content together at our own pace. In the closing months of BfA we remain true to this original idea. Our guild events are focused around mythic+ and the occasional raid: Through mythic+ we experience challenging current tier content in a small controlled environment and build strong teams to push keys. Through raids we experience the same as above but on a larger scale. We like to maintain a smaller community of members to tackle content; we have found this creates a better atmosphere, allows us to work better as a team, and gives players more of an influence on the outcome of the team. Do not expect raid sizes above 15. The result of running a smaller close-knit community is that we take an off-meta approach to our team compositions, our members play the classes and specs they enjoy and not those that are “pulling high numbers”. Sometimes the stars align and those are one and the same. We promote an open and honest culture and encourage players to own their mistakes. We encourage members to engage with all WoW has to offer be that PvP, achievement hunting, transmog, etc, etc. You will often find most members doing these activities between guild events.
