After North America got a taste of having the World First under their belts for a couple raids in a row, Echo decided that it was time for the trophy to go back to Europe. In a nail-biting finish with a little bit of heart-break to get there, Echo was the first guild in the world to kill Mythic Sylvanas Windrunner, the final boss of Sanctum of Domination. They are back for Sepulcher of the First Ones looking to defend their title. The reigning champions have been preparing hard and will have most of their raiders on site in Germany!

A lot has changed for Liquid since the Sanctum of Domination Race to World First. As you might be able to tell, they are no longer part of the Complexity organization, and have signed with Team Liquid, forming a new arm of the esports org known as Liquid MMO. The guild is back with a vengeance after losing the World First last raid to Echo. They have a new logo on the front of their jerseys, but most of the names on the back are the same, so make sure you tune in to their RWF Event for the shenanigans we’ve all come to love from this top North American team!

BDGG has been climbing the world ranks every raid, and making big strides in the process! After finishing at world rank 15 in Ny’alotha and world rank 9 in Castle Nathria, BDGG took another jump to the top in Sanctum of Domination where they were the 4th guild in the world to kill Mythic Sylvanas! Known for their creative and fun broadcasts, we’re excited to see what BDGG has in store for us for Sepulcher. They’ve actually partnered up with Echo to create somewhat of a joint 24/7 production, so you’ll see the BDGG crew on the Echo channel as well!

After their return from a restructuring and rebuilding process post-Ny'alotha, Method managed to secure the 7th world rank in Castle Nathria. They did not host an event for Castle Nathria, instead focusing on rebuilding their raid team, but they did bring back their RWF Event Production for Sanctum of Domination, where they improved their standing to be the 5th guild in the World to kill Mythic Sylvanas. They’re back yet again and looking to finish even higher yet for Sepulcher of the First Ones!

The all-German squad of Aversion came back with a vengeance in Sanctum of Domination after falling a few ranks from Ny’alotha to Castle Nathria. After finding themselves out of the top 10 in the first raid of Shadowlands (rank 12), Aversion put their game faces on and managed to be the 6th guild in the world to fell Mythic Sylvanas. They are extremely excited to be back on-location for their Sepulcher of the First Ones RWF Event! To learn more about Aversion, check out this RWF Guild Spotlight we did on them at the start of Hype Week! A new guild on the scene last RWF, Aster is comprised of some of the top players in China. After recruiting from the ranks of other guilds such as Skyline, Alpha, and JTH, Aster has since shown the world that they are here to play. They were the 7th guild in the world, and the first from Asia, to kill Mythic Sylvanas in Sanctum of Domination. Their top MDI team, Aster.Y, are also the reigning champions of The Great Push, having earned the top spot in the Season 2 version of the competition. To read more about their MDI team, check out our Spotlight interview with them here.

The second highest ranking guild from China is Skyline. They came 7th in the world in Ny’alotha, but stepped up to earn World 5th and Asia 1st in Castle Nathria. Unfortunately, Aster coming onto the scene changed the raiding landscape in China somewhat, and Skyline earned the 10th spot in the world in Sanctum of Domination. We’re excited to see if they can earn their way back up in the ranks in Sepulcher of the First Ones!
Skyline is not putting on an event for the RWF, but you can watch their progress on these streams:
Melody (Raid Leader) | Douyu Stream Channel |
Yd (Warrior) | Douyu Stream Channel |
Alpha joined forces in Sanctum of Domination with a huge esports organization named K-O Network, but they have since parted ways and are heading into Sepulcher of the First Ones on their own once again. This Chinese guild improve their rank 14 finish in Castle Nathria by a few spots last raid, finishing Sanctum of Domination in 11th place in the world. We are definitely keeping our eyes out on Alpha to see if they can break into the top 10 for the first time in Shadowlands!
As is standard among the Chinese guilds (other than Aster), Alpha is not hosting a broadcasted event, but you can check out their progression on these player streams:
Dfx (Guild Leader) | Huya Stream Channel |
Having previously been under the banner of esports organization Lazarus, Imperative teamed up with Soniqs Esports out of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania prior to the Sanctum of Domination RWF. Their goal was to improve upon their world rank 24 finish in Castle Nathria, and we dare say they did so – being the 13th guild in the world to defeat Mythic Sylvanas! For Sepulcher, they are again planning on putting on a smaller-scale remote production, focusing on player PoVs and comms. We’re excited to tune in and see if they can break the top 10 this time around!

Ji Tian Hong (JTH) has unfortunately been on a decline in the world ranks over the last few raids. They earned 5th in the world in Ny’alotha where they were also the top Asian guild – but they lost the top Asian spot to Skyline in Castle Nathria, where they dropped one rank and finished 6th in the world. Sanctum of Domination was not very kind to JTH, as they were the 14th guild to defeat Mythic Sylvanas. We will be keeping our eyes on this long-standing powerhouse guild to see if they’re able to turn things back around for this final RWF of Shadowlands!
JTH will again not be hosting a broadcasted event, but If you want to watch their progress live, these players will likely be streaming:
Zzr (Raid Leader) | Huya Stream Channel |
Ye yi (Shadow Priest) | Douyu Stream Channel |
