Derived from the Greek source term φάρμακον (phármakon), a word that can mean either remedy, poison, or scapegoat. The latter being the strongest affiliation in this case, given that Pharmakon is related to pharmakos, the ritualistic sacrifice or exile of a human scapegoat. When the one that this relates to takes responsibility for their own actions, and repeats them again (as they have already and will do again) the way shall be clear.
