Rumly was born in the city of Stormwind, where he grew up admiring the noble knights of the Silver Hand. He dreamed of becoming a paladin and serving the Light, but he lacked the natural talent and charisma that most paladins possessed. He was often bullied by his peers for being clumsy and timid, and he struggled to master the basic skills of combat and healing.

Despite his shortcomings, Rumly never gave up on his dream. He worked hard and practiced diligently, hoping to prove himself worthy of the paladin's mantle. He eventually caught the attention of a veteran paladin named Turalyon, who saw potential in Rumly and decided to take him as his apprentice. Turalyon taught Rumly the principles of honor, courage, and justice, and helped him develop his abilities as a protector and a leader.

Rumly followed Turalyon into many battles against the Horde, the Scourge, and the Burning Legion, always standing by his side and shielding him from harm. Rumly earned the respect and trust of his fellow paladins, who nicknamed him "the Rock" for his steadfastness and resilience. He also forged a strong bond with Turalyon, who became like a father to him.

Rumly's life changed when Turalyon disappeared during an expedition to Outland. Rumly was devastated by the loss of his mentor and friend, and vowed to find him and bring him back. He joined the Alliance Expedition, led by Khadgar and Alleria Windrunner, and ventured into the shattered world of Draenor. There, he faced many dangers and horrors, but also discovered new allies and wonders.

Rumly's quest led him to the Black Temple, where he encountered Illidan Stormrage and his army of fel orcs and demon hunters. Rumly fought bravely against the overwhelming odds, but was eventually captured and brought before Illidan. Illidan offered Rumly a choice: join him or die. Rumly refused to betray the Light and his comrades, and spat in Illidan's face.

Illidan was furious, and decided to make an example of Rumly. He tortured him with fel magic, trying to break his will and corrupt his soul. But Rumly endured the pain, holding on to his faith and his memories of Turalyon. He prayed for a miracle, and it came in the form of Akama, a broken draenei who secretly opposed Illidan. Akama freed Rumly from his chains, and helped him escape from the Black Temple.

Rumly thanked Akama for his aid, and asked him to join him in his search for Turalyon. Akama agreed, feeling a kinship with Rumly's loyalty and courage. The two became friends, and together they continued their journey across Outland.

Rumly's story is not over yet. He still hopes to find Turalyon someday, and to return to Azeroth with him. He also seeks to redeem Illidan, believing that there is still some good left in him. He is a prot paladin who follows the Light, but also respects other paths and cultures. He is humble, kind, and brave. He is Rumly.
