About Oceania |

Oceania is a mature-aged casual-core progression raiding guild who understands that real life comes first and unexpectedly. Our goal each tier is to get AOTC for as man of our regular raiding roster as possible, but we are not a hard-core raiding guild and will not pressure people to raid when they can't for any reason. Mythic plus is run on a semi-casual basis, with known times when group will be running, and other ad hoc groups outside these times. We are a LGBTQI+, Kink and ND friendly guild, and a number of our members have chronic health conditions or disabilities. We also accept allies and social members. We ask that people choose a primary raiding character to assist with managing roster composition and to let us know in advance if possible if they can't make it to raid. The goal is to ensure that we have the best chance of success on any given raid night, and that we don't waste other people's time by either trying content when we don't have a viable group make up, or pushing through content when people's focus is elsewhere or they aren't well enough to play. We practice the Paradox of Tolerance - the only thing we will not tolerate is intolerance. All applicants will be screened by an officer to ensure they understand our code of conduct. Harassment of any type will not be accepted. Being neurodiverse may mean you have a different communication style, but this is not a free pass to be rude or abusive to other guild members. Because the guild is a safe place for members to drop their masks that they often need to wear in other aspects of their lives, the guild is typically not suitable for people under 18. Conversation topics on occasion can cover issues not appropriate for minors or that may be considered offensive by some people - such as healthcare concerns or issues relating directly to the LGBT+ community. Underage members will need a guilded member who knows them in real life to sponsor them. This is for the protection of both the underage member and the guild itself. Raid chat tends towards several hours of bad puns, dad jokes and light-hearted banter - you do not have to participate in any banter if it makes you uncomfortable.
