The Weekly Route: Tyrannical, Bursting, Volcanic, and Tormented

This week’s affixes are Tyrannical, Bursting, Volcanic, and Tormented.
These are some very favorable affixes for high key pushing! Volcanic is easily the least impactful affix on its level, and Bursting is also generally manageable, dealing less effective damage this patch than many previous ones, and also being dispellable as of this expansion. You may still struggle with the Bursting affix on very large pulls, or if your healer is undergeared, but otherwise the primary affix will just be Tyrannical, which is still a sizable challenge in a lot of dungeons!
Depending on when patch 9.2 lands, this might be the last best chance to get the Tyrannical score that you're looking for - remember that you can check here to see what the cutoff is currently estimated to be for the Tormented Hero title (remember to change it to your region) if that's something you're aiming for!

The Weekly Routes
De Other Side [back to top]
As usual, the toughest boss in the dungeon will be Hakkar, though the fight is made exponentially less difficult if you can stack cooldowns and bloodlust to shorten it. The other two bosses of the wings are also tough, and Mueh’zala can take a tremendous amount of time if you aren’t able to eliminate all four of his images during the intermission.

Halls of Atonement [back to top]
Echelon is by far the toughest boss for most groups on Tyrannical, so do everything you need to do to ensure you’ll have cooldowns and bloodlust for this boss!

Mists of Tirna Scithe [back to top]
We’ve added a route with skips to this dungeon to reflect an increasingly popular strategy that does a skip right at the start - this skip is tough and can easily go wrong as you sneak near truesight mobs, but it’s a nice time save and avoids a nasty pull if you can execute it. Do not attempt this if you aren’t confident your whole group understands how it works!

Plaguefall [back to top]
All four bosses in this dungeon are tough - one tip is that you can grab Incinerator Arkolath before Doctor Ickus to get another anima power for that fight.

Sanguine Depths [back to top]
Executor Tarvold is a much tougher boss this season than last - you have a few different plans of attack here: either nuke it from orbit with massive damage and a lantern buff, or settle in for a longer fight and save cooldowns for the second and third add spawns, as those overlap with other damage.

Spires of Ascension [back to top]
Even on Tyrannical, you should consider using Bloodlust and all cooldowns on Klotos rather than Devos if it’s up - though using it on Orphyrion instead is also a good choice.

The Necrotic Wake [back to top]
A useful tip for Amarth is to have your tank pick up the spear beforehand and spear Amarth on pull, when Incinerator Arkolath is around 30% health, aimed in such a way that it pierces and hits both. The tank is ideal for this since it generates huge threat!

Theater of Pain [back to top]
Bloodlust for time efficiency is best on Xav, as it can remove banner casts from the fight and reduce the total amount of damage you’ll need to do.Gorechop is another good lust as it’s a difficult encounter that can drain your resources, as is Mordretha, potentially below 50%, for similar reasons.
