I know it sounds crazy, but whenever I push these keys—you’re gonna laugh at me, you’re going to think that I’m nuts, you’re going to think I’m crazy—when I push these keys, I feel the energy of every person who’s run them before me and every person who’s timed them after me. And I feel this jolt of like freaking lightning or something from my head to the tip of my—you know what I’m saying. Sometimes, while slamming these keys and pulling off insane routes, I just can’t help but throw my head back in ecstasy and yell out in triumph.

So whenever I go and talk to people, they’re like, “What do you do?” and I say, “Yes, I push Mythic+ keys in World of Warcraft, and I carry pugs.” Don’t laugh at me, but I feel like a spirit, like an orb of power, shoots through my body every time I beat the timer. You know, a lot of people laugh at me, they mock me, they say I’m wasting my time, that I’m sweaty or tryhard. One time, a tank left mid-run and called me trash, and it still haunts me. Another time, someone de-leveled my key out of spite. But will I stop pushing these keys and helping groups get their portals? Absolutely freaking not.

Like, no way. The answer’s no. This is the only thing that brings my life joy. You can flame me in whispers, you can kick me from groups, you can even grief my runs, but I’m not going to stop. I love the people of this game, I love getting them loot and mounts, and no, I’m not going to stop. Keys are my life. I’m here for the challenge, the thrill, and the joy it brings to me and others. And if that’s a problem for you, well, I guess I’ll just keep timing anyway.
