Vekruun Ironshade was once a distinguished engineer and combat specialist in Mechagon, renowned for his groundbreaking work in developing advanced mechanized defense systems. His creations were the pride of the city, integrating both traditional Mechagnome engineering with cutting-edge magical enhancements. Vekruun’s ultimate ambition was to create the perfect fusion of machine and magic—a vision that would soon take him down a dark and unforeseen path.

During a pivotal research project aimed at imbuing mechanized units with greater autonomy, Vekruun's experiments inadvertently attracted the attention of the Lich King. Impressed by Vekruun’s ingenuity and sensing an opportunity to create a formidable warrior, the Lich King intervened, pulling Vekruun from his world and resurrecting him as a Death Knight. Now, endowed with the dark powers of undeath and the relentless drive of his mechanical nature, Vekruun faces a new reality where his once-pursued perfection has taken a twisted turn.
