Contrived is a tight-knit group of adults playing a video game that many of us have played since childhood. As such, we strive to keep a drama and toxicity free environment. We're looking for players that like to push themselves, learn, and grow while maintaining a level head and a pragmatic outlook.

• An adult mindset. You are human, you are allowed to get frustrated. You are not allowed to yell at strangers playing a video game.
• Prejudices won't be tolerated. You know the ones I'm talking about. If you're super down with hating any specific group of people, this is not the guild for you.
• Be open to feedback. Pobody's nerfect, the best way to learn is by doing. The second best way to learn is to be open to constructive criticism.
• Come prepared. The raid group will start forming up 15 minutes before raid starts. When the clock hits 8:30PM, we start pulling. 8:25PM is probably not the best time to post that crafting order you need done or grab those gems you've been missing.
• Educate yourself on the content. We have a (mostly) competent raid leader who will do a lot of the legwork for you. However, they have access to all of the same information you do at the start of a tier. They are not on a special raid-leaders only mailing list (they've tried, they cannot make the cut) you can know what they know before they tell you. They (I) believe in you.
• Ask questions and take accountability. There have been numerous instances where a strategy has been altered after an open discussion with the rest of the raid team to find a better solution. Admitting a mistake is greatly appreciated and prevents time lost to checking logs or others repeating the same mistakes. We all learn better when we're learning together.
• Attendence, The Bench, And You: For guilds like Contrived, the roster boss is often the hardest boss. We are striving to maintain a core raiding roster of 25+. This necessitates keeping a bench of valued and respected raiders. Depending upon your performance and general attendance, you may be asked to sit.
