We’ve got you covered with our new series: Play Like the PROS!
Keep track of this week's affixes with the help of these WeakAuras:
Volcanic or Bolstering
Today, we share some of the advanced routes that we have seen on Twitch streams this week to help you optimize your weekend key pushing sessions! Read on to import dungeon routes by the pros and maybe learn some new tech.
Table of Contents
Dragonflight Season 1 Route Transcriptions - Tyrannical
RUBY LIFE POOLS
Dungeon Run: Ruby Life Pools +25
Team: Dwarfgoh, Arastrasza, Floorki, Junkratxd, Twicks
Affix Combo: Tyrannical, Bolstering, Volcanic, Thundering
- This route is essentially the optimized version of the standard PUG route. It avoids the last pack on the upper ring, which is usually an unnecessarily slow 3 target pull, by adding a few Infused Whelps to the first pull and into the beginning of Melidrussa Chillworn. Adding these easy mobs along with a Flashfrost Earthshaper is a great way to increase the group’s overall damage to the boss through funnel and avoid as many casts of Chillstorm as possible before the first intermission.
- This group composition also has two options to pre-immune Rolling Thunder when fighting Thunderhead. By using Anti-Magic Shell or Cloak of Shadows right before the ability is cast, the initial application will be immuned and the party won’t ever have to take the damage from it expiring or being dispelled.
- Bloodlust Timings: Melidrussa Chillworn, Kokia Blazehoof, Phase 2 Kyrakka.

HALLS OF VALOR
Dungeon Run: Halls of Valor +26
Team: Andychan, Thabadbreath, Canexxsix, Jaxshamthree, Speedpriest
Affix Combo: Tyrannical, Bolstering, Volcanic, Thundering
- Protection Paladin has seen a surge in play at the high end of keys and this route is a great example of its strengths in some dungeons.
- The huge pulls of Ebonclaw Worgs and Steeljaw Grizzlies are mostly kited, but Final Stand allowing the Paladin to face tank the mobs and get all of his burst damage out while keeping them stacked is very efficient.
- One of the pulls in this route includes a Thundercaller, two Mystics, and a Runecarver which would be extremely difficult to handle without the kicks from Avenger’s Shield.
- Bloodlust Timings: 1st pull, Hyrja, Ebonclaw Worgs, Phase 2 Odyn.

BONUS ROUTE: Halls of Valor +25
Due to the subscription required for the video above, here is another route and video of the world rank #2 Halls of Valor timed this week!
Dungeon Run: Halls of Valor +25
Team: Ocelottank, Dxm, Slymnk, Shantiana, Layeesha
Affix Combo: Tyrannical, Bolstering, Volcanic, Thundering
- Bloodlust Timings: 1st pull, Hyrja, Ebonclaw Worgs after Fenryr, Phase 2 Odyn

THE NOKHUD OFFENSIVE
Dungeon Run: The Nokhud Offensive +25
Team: Noobadin, Vileplumex, Banshers, Hawwkdh, Nataleya
Affix Combo: Tyrannical, Bolstering, Volcanic, Thundering
- This run was almost 6 minutes under the timer, and the majority of that time is from all three DPS specs having pretty strong priority damage to mitigate how bad Bolstering can be in this dungeon.
- There’s a big first pull in the Raging Tempest’s area that you might not normally see with the patrolling Primalist Thunderbeast and 4 Primal Stormshields. You’ll need a lot of purges to constantly remove the Stormshields absorb, and half of their auto attacks are dealt as nature instead of physical which makes this extremely deadly to tanks that already don’t deal with magical damage well (I’m so sorry Guardian Druids.)
- Bloodlust Timings: 1st pull, Raging Tempest, Teera and Maruuk.
See the Route in Action:
SHADOWMOON BURIAL GROUNDS
Dungeon Run: Shadowmoon Burial Grounds +27
Team: Kíea, Realwippy, Casualaddict, Lagarø, Løutus
Affix Combo: Tyrannical, Bolstering, Volcanic, Thundering
- This import might look bizarre, but that’s because it includes the Void Spawn that will still be at the first altar if you rush directly to it with invisibility or shroud. Also this route again jumps around the Bonemaw boss ring to pull the 10 Corpse Skitterlings that will otherwise despawn after the boss dies.
- The Protection Paladin in this group made use of the fact that Turn Evil actually executes the Defiled Spirits that spawn when Sadana Bloodfury uses Dark Communion as long as they are under 30% HP. You can see how this works in this clip from the run. Ellesmere makes a great WeakAura for Turn Evil name plates.
- Skipping one of the two Shadowmoon Exhumers before Nhallish seems small, but it actually makes the kicks manageable to pull it and the two Exhumed Spirits directly onto the boss which saves a ton of time.
- Bloodlust Timings: Sadana Bloodfury, 1st pull after Nhallish, Ner’zhul.

COURT OF STARS
Dungeon Run: Court of Stars +27
Team: Kíea, Realwippy, Casualaddict, Lagarø, Løutus
Affix Combo: Tyrannical, Bolstering, Volcanic, Thundering
- This route only kills a single Felbound Enforcer because it makes use of both the Life-sized Nightborne Statue to pull a miniboss, and the Bazaar Goods to pull another.
- Patrol Captain Gerdo is a long fight that isn’t really threatening, so on top of the usual Duskwatch Guard and Mana Wyrms you can easily pull another group in after those die for extra count and added funnel damage.
- The same idea goes for the three minibosses which don’t scale with Tyrannical, combining them with any nearby mobs that won’t be too lethal cuts down how many pulls you’ll have and helps your overall damage output.
- Bloodlust Timings: Patrol Captain Gerdo, Talixae Flamewreath
See the Route in Action:
TEMPLE OF THE JADE SERPENT
Dungeon Run: Temple of the Jade Serpent +25
Team: Noobadin, Vileplumex, Banshers, Hawwkdh, Nataleya
Affix Combo: Tyrannical, Bolstering, Volcanic, Thundering
- Temple of the Jade Serpent is getting pretty standardized up until the courtyard area with Liu Flameheart. This group opts to immediately pull the Shambling Infester into the first three-pack and it frees up a lot of space to do the larger pull after that.
- The insane value of a Shadow Priest can’t be overstated in this key between Mass Dispelling the Tainted Ripples or Touch of Nothingness, and healing the group and tank through Sha Eruptions or Jade Serpent Strikes with Vampiric Embrace.
- Bloodlust Timings: 1st pull, Strife and Peril, Sha of Doubt
See the Route in Action:
ALGETH’AR ACADEMY
Dungeon Run: Algeth'ar Academy +25
Team: Skillsclap, Zaldrakis, Maystine, Stone, Swollex
Affix Combo: Tyrannical, Bolstering, Volcanic, Thundering
- This starts as the standard “shrouding to Vexamus” route, but afterwards comes back to the second bridge to combine those four mobs with the three commonly skipped mobs before the Guardian Sentry.
- Thanks to the extra count from the bridge, the final pull has only a single Spectral Invoker and can be comfortably dragged into Echo of Doragosa.
- It wasn’t successful here, but using shroud to center the tank and help them pull all three Vile Lashers simultaneously is important to synchronize all casts of Detonation Seeds so players can use trinkets like Storm-Eater’s Boon between swirlies.
- Bloodlust Timings: Vexamus, Crawth, Echo of Doragosa.
See the Route in Action:
THE AZURE VAULT
Dungeon Run: The Azure Vault +25
Team: Skillsclap, Zaldrakis, Maystine, Stone, Swollex
Affix Combo: Tyrannical, Bolstering, Volcanic, Thundering
- Before the first boss this group uses a pretty creative way to combine two pulls by attacking the Arcane Tender and Conjured Lashers at the top of the staircase, then jumping down to Leymor’s boss room below. When the enemies finally make their way down the stairs, the tank is there to get threat and since the Lashers haven’t had a target in line of sight they will all cast Mystic Vapors at the same time and be easily stopped by one AoE disrupt. You can see how this works in this clip.
- During the large pull after Leymor with 4 Crystal Furies, the team takes turns using every stop they can for Piercing Shards and once they’ve run out the tank breaks line of sight using the doorway to the ring to prevent all future casts and they kite out the rest of the fight.
- For every pull after Azureblade, the Drakonid Breakers are first fought with as few mobs as possible to try to even out their HP and prevent them from getting too many Bolstering stacks and having a lethal Bestial Roar.
- Bloodlust Timings: 1st pull, Big pull in Azureblade’s room, Last Nullmagic Hornswoggle pull, Umbrelskul.
