What an insane event, phew. We hope you enjoyed everything that happened as much as we did, with nailbiting matches all throughout the Group Stage and Global Finals. It's very rare for us to get to see both an MDI and TGP in the same Mythic+ season, but thankfully we were graced with incredible matches and performances in both of them -- even if the victor was the same team for both of them.
Mandatory now hold 3 championships in the WoW Mythic+ esports circuit, and we can't wait to see which teams will be gearing up to dethrone them in Season 2 of The War Within. While we do not yet know when the next Mythic+ esports event will happen, we can already imagine that many teams will be vying for the championship in the future.
Until then, we get to enjoy a little bit of rest until Patch 11.1 - Undermine(D) drops on February 25th, with the Race for World First starting on March 4th. We will be back for our Race for World First coverage and hope that you will join us then, or for the next MDI and AWC sometime later this year.

This has been an absolutely incredible TGP, with insane performances all-around. Mandatory had a rocky start, both in the Group Stage and the first day of the Global Finals, but they came out swinging on the second and third day and obliterated the rest of the competition in convincing fashion. After back-to-back MDI championships, they now also claim their first TGP title, and a new era of a single team dominating the scene has begun.
It was far from easy for them to come out victorious though, with many of the competing teams being hot on their heels. Streamerzone.gg and No Speaky ended up pushing not only insane keys, but they also pushed Mandatory to their absolute limit, and both teams more than deserved their spot on the podium today.
ESC Gaming and Stamp both had major struggles in some of their keys, and ended up coming in behind the top 3, despite also having some insane performances themselves. While they were unable to time +19 Stonevault and +21 Arakara, they did not manage to disappoint, with Stamp being the first team to time a +21 in the world, and ESC Gaming showcasing the value of a spec that was not considered meta by most people.
Phoenix Gang Media, the sixth place team of the event, decided to throw in the towel earlier today already, but they still tried their best and slowly but steadily pushed keys at their own pace. While it wasn't enough to contend with the best teams in the world, we always love to see teams pushing themselves to their limits, even if other teams end up doing better than them.
